About the Role

Founded in 2013, Masthead is a rapidly growing, woman-owned medical garment brand whose surgical bras are now used in hundreds of the top hospitals in the country and are sought after by the top surgeons. We are seeking a full-time salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, driven, goal- and process-oriented professional with hospital sales experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

What You'll Do

The Business Development Associate will significantly increase Masthead’s share of the U.S. surgical bra market and help us continue our double-digit annual sales growth by acquiring new acute care hospital system as well as alternate site customers.

  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of products, customers and markets

  • Develop a procedure/system for reaching surgeons, nurses, hospital purchasing agents, supply chain managers and other decision-makers

  • Generate and follow up on leads from hospitals and other providers to secure and onboard new accounts

  • Manage and send out price quotes, information and samples

  • Help plan for and attend out-of-town trade shows and conferences

  • Make surgeons/accounts aware of products that they don’t know we have, expand business within existing accounts with new products, additional locations

  • Maintain and support company positioning in the industry, stay on-brand

  • Handle customer inquiries (phone, email, etc.)

  • Communicate with dormant accounts to determine reason/remedy drop off in utilization

  • Maintain professional yet persistent demeanor, work with other team members to achieve our company mission of ensuring that as many patients as possible are able to experience the softness, comfort and support of Masthead garments after surgery.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications for this role are:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s a plus)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Driven, punctual, reliable, self-starter

  • Ability to work independently and with others

  • Experience with CRM systems a plus

  • At least 1 year of medical device and/or hospital sales experience a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

  • Experience with Netsuite CRM, other ERP technologies a plus
